Secrets About Celebrity Manicure and Pedicures
Pick a Color
Last week Star Magazine had an exclusive interview with some of Hollywood’s manicurists to find out how stars behave when they are getting their nails and toes painted. It was, as you can imagine, a riveting piece that should be considered part of the United States high school reading curriculum or at the very least considered for next year’s Pulitzer Prize for writing.
The most important take away was that Jennifer Garner is a very happy salon-goer who enjoys making jokes and telling stories. Her mother, who she often brings along with her on these jaunts, is not super thrilled with the way the nail lady handles her feet. “You would think she was the celebrity,” they explained. Jennifer Aniston, on the other hand, is always kind. She asks a lot of questions but never provides any insight into her own life. My guess is she doesn’t really want to get into the nitty gritty of why she has not reproduced yet with the lady sandblasting the calluses off her feet.
When I go to the nail salon they always ask me who is at home with my kids as if I’ve left them home alone to fend for themselves so I can change my polish. When I explain to them that I have a babysitter and not in fact a relative they look confused if not disgusted. Maybe they would be approving if I had flown out my dad with whom I barely have a relationship and is possibly crazy because he would do a better job than someone who actually knows how to take care of children because we are in the same family.
