Jennifer Lopez At Home vs. Me At Home
In the current issue of People Magazine Jennifer Lopez opens up about her life with her twins in a spread titled Jennifer Lopez At Home. Reading through the interview I couldn’t help but compare our lives.
Jennifer Lopez’s Life:
Technology: Her kids are only allowed “screen time” on the weekends.
Wake Up: When I’m shooting, I’m up at 5 a.m. And go all day. But if not, the day starts when the kids come in between 6:15 a.m. Then we get ready for school.
Alone Time: After a shower she goes outside on the balcony for 15 minutes. It’s part prayer, meditation, and affirmations to reset myself.
Commute: I wind up doing my makeup in the car a lot to save time.
Dinner: I try to be home to eat with the kids between 6:30 and 7:00 pm.
End of the Day: After the kids go to bed around 8:30 pm, I usually start doing other work.
Technology: My kids can recite almost every word of Frozen. I’ve been known to let them watch their iPads so I can take a call or stick my head in a freezer.
Wake Up: Sometimes in the middle of the night my oldest daughter will appear standing next to our bed like a scene out of The Shining.
Alone Time: The bathroom.
Commute: Dropping off my kids at school with a slicked back prison ponytail and running clothes sans makeup.
Dinner: Eat a taco at the counter while I scream at the kids to pick up their toys.
End of the Day: After the kids go to bed around 7:15 I watch and recap Rock This Boat:
So basically we have a similar life.
