Wouldn’t it have been great to have PicFx or Instagram’s editing ability when we were kids, specifically our teenage years? I can think of several pictures that I would have happily doctored to erase my adolescent volcanic acne eruptions or the food unknowingly lodged in my metal braces. It would have been incredibly helpful to be able to digitally nip and tuck several of my prom photos or any pictures where I was in a bathing suit. Because as you age you find yourself often slightly horrified at the emergence of lines and rolls in your every day pictures. So you find yourself wondering why you are getting older and hag-like while everyone in Hollywood gets younger and thinner. But celebrities have the great privilege of being styled and photographed by the world’s best. This is to say nothing of the photo shopping which perfects them for the covers of all the magazines we consume.
So here is a little reminder, my friends, that they are not so perfect too. So raise your donut and let’s salute each other one wrinkle and discolored patch of skin at a time.
