A new report from Daily Mail says Katie Holmes has hired a “confidence coach” to help her find her way post-divorce. “Katie is keen to find her own voice so she has sought professional help and has employed a confidence and life coach who she’s been seeing once a week to help her regain who she once was.”
I have always wondered what makes someone become a life coach. (Here is my earlier post on becoming a life coach). Isn’t it like calling yourself a stylist or a model? Because it is easy to do so with no real standards or course work involved – so can’t anyone off the street with access to Kinkos business cards claim it as a career? So how did this “confidence and life coach” nail down this new job? Did they give a Power Point presentation to her management team? Was there a marketing video? What kind of references did they provide? Past clients include notables such as Bobbie Brown, John Edwards, and anyone who has been married to the Director James Cameron?
Word is her team is also looking for potential New York friends now that she is free to associate with people outside of the cult. Lainey says Sarah Jessica Parker is on the short list. She’s very NYC and with hope she is willing to sit front row at a future Holmes & Yang runway show. But would SJP be on board? She rolls around with real fashionistas. She throws political fundraisers with Anna Wintour. She has drinks with the Seinfelds. You think she’s going to meet up with Katie at Whole Foods for wheat germ scones? Get together and chat about the complete joy one can get from having the freedom to wear high heels or visit your family without bodyguards and listening devices?
