Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes: Hand Holding
One of my absolute favorite things about award season is the Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes red carpet arrival. I anticipate these moments because they are so spectacularly awkward. Two people so devoid of normalcy and self-awareness I am always left breathless and yearning for more. Not that we should expect anything less from a couple who regularly speak about each other in terms like “amazing”, “glorious”, and “enchanting”. Would your husband say he found you enchanting?
The way he holds her hand is my favorite. Perhaps he is perpetually in character for some Georgian era period film that has yet to be formally green lighted? As if he has just approached her and now she is obliged to accept the invitation to dance. In moments they will launch into a minuet.
Do your married friends hold hands like this too? (I mean the ones that actually make out).
